About the Alliance Française
The Alliance Française is a global network committed to promoting the French language and the rich cultures of the French-speaking world. Founded in 1883, this esteemed organization operates under the guidance of the Fondation de l’Alliance Française in Paris. With a presence in 138 countries, the Alliance Française boasts over 1,200 associations and attracts more than 400,000 students each year.

A Proud History
Founded in 1948, the Alliance Française Kilkenny has been celebrating French culture and language for over seven decades. Our mission is to foster a love for French and the diverse cultures of the Francophone world.
Our Team
Our organization is run by eight dedicated volunteer committee members. We are always looking for new members to join our committee, with elections held annually at our AGM in November.
Activities and Events
We offer adult language classes and host cultural events at the Club House Hotel in Kilkenny. These activities provide opportunities to learn French and immerse yourself in Francophone culture.
